TASK 1: OPERATE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES AN/PVS-7B
1. Perform preoperational checks.
a. Ensured rotary switch is in OFF position.
b. Installed batteries.
C. Removed eyepiece and objective lens caps.
d. Placed headmount assembly on head and adjusted for a comfortable and secure fit.
e. Inserted goggles onto headmount carriage until a definite click is heard.
2. Operate the goggles (head-mounted mode).
a. Activated the rotary switch to the ON position.
b. Adjusted the focus mechanisms for sharpest view.
c. Activated IR illuminator.
3. Shut down and store the goggles.
a. Moved rotary switch to OFF position.
b. Remove goggles from headgear, if attached.
c. Remove all protective lenses, if attached.
d. Emplaced all lens caps.
e. Removed batteries and secure battery compartment hatch.
f. Placed batteries, headmount assembly, and goggles in carrying case.
