5. Specified machine gun location in relation to a prominent terrain feature or an eight.digit grid coordinate.
a. Determined azimuth, in mils or degrees, from the terrain feature to the machine gun.
b. Determined distance between the terrain feature and the machine gun.
c. Sketched and identified the terrain feature on the card.
d. Connected the feature and the machine gun with a barbed line.
e. Wrote the distance in meters above the line.
f. Wrote the azimuth in mils or degrees from the terrain feature to the machine gun below the line (plus or minus 3 degrees).
g. Sketched in the primary sector with a PDF.
h. Labeled targets in the primary sector.
i. Sketched in secondary sector of fire and targets located within secondary sector.
6. Prepared data section using the traversing and elevating (T&E) mechanism.
NOTE: T&E will be used for a minimum of three targets.
